Tonight we went for dinner at Nancy Chinyanya’s restaurant. Nancy is a remarkable woman. She has moved to Likhubula from the north of Malawi and a real business woman. She has a strong, charitable character who wants to improve the lives of the women in Malawi. She speaks of a Malawi where women have a voice, a purpose, and an independence that is being denied for many. Nancy has worked tirelessly to encourage women within the community to become more independent and to learn a range of skills. Both Jenni and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting with Nancy chatting and drinking tea.
